Dewa Roman Experience, Chester

Wow! What a fantastic day we had yesterday at the Dewa centre in Chester. We learnt so much about the Roman invasion and Britain and the influence on the city of Chester. Dewa was the Roman word for Chester!

We all had the opportunity to go on a soldier patrol, marching through the streets of Chester led by a Roman soldier. We carried shields and visited the Roman ampitheatre and the walled gardens.

We were taken back in time on a ship and visited Roman Britain to learn more about their way of life. We had the opportunity to dress up as a Roman soldier and experience the hands on materials in the museum.
