Diwali Temple Visit

Today we visited the 'BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir' Temple in Ashton, to celebrate Diwali. The children enjoyed seeing the huge variety of food that the community had donated for the celebration. Whilst we were there we also participated in a number of activities, including dressing up in traditional Hindu clothing, creating and colouring a Diwali oil lamp and using crepe paper to contribute to a large piece of artwork. We were also given woven bracelets as a sign of friendship.
