Fieldwork

Last week we did some fieldwork in geography. We went on a very exciting walk to spot local places around school. We had a map to look at in groups and were able to identify the places to add to our map. We added: the vets, barbers, chippy, shop/post office, park, cenotaph and Waterloo school. We also talked about different kinds of houses and were able to say things we like and don't like about a place. The next day, we worked in groups to put the pictures from the walk in order to create a story map. We now understand more about maps and that they can help us to follow a route and go on a journey.

We had so much fun!
