Plastic Free Week
Date: 13th Jan 2020 @ 8:37pm
Last week was plastic free week at Canon Burrows! We have learned all about plastic and why it is harmful for our environment. We thought about how we can cut down our use of plastic. We looked at plastic food packaging and designed our own packaging not made from plastic. For example, we designed paper bags for apples and glass jars for pasta sauce. We also formed a trash mob and collected lots of litter from the playground, including plastic wrappers! We created our own class pledges on how we will cut down our use of plastic, for example we will use a re-usable water bottle instead of single use plastic bottles. We were pleased that by the end of plastic week we had managed to cut down on our use of plastic across school and will try our very best to keep this up!
