Today we were transported back to 1666 where we learnt all about a little bakery on Pudding Lane that started one of the biggest fires in history.

We played games, danced, sang and acted out the events of the fire and attempted to recreate London life in 1666.

We weren't impressed that they poured all of their toliet waste out onto the streets back then.

Did you know?

- The Great Fire of London started on Sunday 2nd September (1666) in a bakery on Pudding Lane.

- The fire started from a little spark that jumped because the oven door wasn't shut properly.

- The houses were made out of wood which meant the fire spread very easily (because wood is very flamable).

- Samuel Pepys created a diary and that's why we have been able to learn so much about the fire.

We can't wait to learn more about the fire through our class learning and our Great Fire of London project homework.

We hope you enjoy looking though our photographs of the workshop.
