Update on Learning

This week we have looked at information about different super heroes and have been practising reading labels about them. We have been super heroes outside too practising our key words by zapping them with water.

We have been revisiting our learning around 2d shapes and have been using words such as straight sides, curved sides, same length, and corners to describe them. We have been trying to name some 3d shapes as well. As well as this we are continuing to explore weight and simple addition within provision.

Tomorrow (Friday) will see our Super Hero Day, we are looking forward to dressing up before we blast off to space for SAW week.

Next week we have lots of spacey related learning planned. This includes; the experience of visiting a Planetarium in school on Monday; having a talk from a STEM ambassador and astronomy researcher on Tuesday; as well as visiting the Science Fair on Wednesday.

During the week, we will be learning about Helen Sharman and will be making the planet Venus as part of the whole school planet display.

Please remember that on Monday the children are invited to dress up in something that is space related.

Next week is SAW week

So we are ready to blast off into space next week draw or make your own space rocket

Wow moments

Thank you to those who have already sent in WOW moments. The children have loved sharing them with their class. We have sent a new set of WOW cards home this week. If you need any more, please let a member of EYFS know.
