Year Six Eco teams first outdoor session

Date: 26th Sep 2018 @ 9:11am

On Thursday 13th September, the first ten children from Year Six were working outside in the school grounds. The team were pleased to find that there had been only natural wear and tear, both in the immediate school grounds and in the valley, over the summer holidays.

Tasks done today included planting out the plants kindly donated by Miss Chapman, Crocosmia and Primula, cutting back the butterfly bushes before the autumn winds snap them, weeding the flower beds, turning the soil in the infant garden's mud kitchens and then making a start on removing weeds on the waterside paths to make them safer for everyone.
